Fun Folds with the CCEE Stampers

As Vicky's final March challenge for the CCEE Stampers, she has requested that we use a fun fold of our choice....it can be a "go to" fold, or we could try something new.

Here is a link to the tutorial I used to create this Twisted Pocket Card which is perfect for sending cash or gift cards for all occasions!! I created my card for use on an upcoming birthday!

The designer paper is from Three Bugs in a Rug and the stamps are from B.Y.O.P. by Stampin' Up.

SCS CAS473 - Oh, Happy Day!

Today's design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps was created for the Clean and Simple Challenge posted on Splitcoaststampers today. It is titled "Oh, Happy Day" and participants are asked to show something that makes them happy.

Well, here in Texas we are all delighted to once again find the rolling hills of central Texas blanketed with our state flower, the bluebonnet.  We are happy, indeed. It is a true sight to behold that we look forward to every spring.

CCEE1811 - St. Patrick's Day/Green

Wow, we're three weeks into March already.....and St. Patrick's Day is on the horizon.  This week, our CCEE hostess, Vicky, asked that we make a St. Patrick's Day card.....or.....use the color green on our card!  Not all of us can use a St. Patrick's Day card, but green is a wonderful color with endless possibilities!

Green is my favorite color, so of course, I went with that!! The butterfly image and stenciled background are from Dina Wakley Media for Ranger.

KSS - Let's Make an Easter Scene

Kitchen Sink Stamps is sponsoring another Let's Make a Scene design today and the theme is Easter. It seems like we are barely out of winter and now Easter is right upon us! I think this is the longest winter we have had in Texas in many a year. We are all anxiously looking forward to the colors of spring!

For today's card I used images from Kitchen Sink Stamps' Honey Bunny Multi Step Clear Stamps, Basket Multi Step Clear Stamps, Bitty Tulip Bouquet Multi Step Clear Stamps, and Ready 4 Any Holiday Clear Stamps. The eggs and bow are die cut from assorted designer paper scraps.

This is the order in which I stamped the images:

1st - rabbit
2nd - basket
3rd - tulips
4th - grass
Last -sentiment

Color Recipe for Rabbit

3 - Memento London Fog
2 - SU Going Grey
1 - PTI Soft Stone
4 - Memento Tuxedo Black

Color Recipe for Basket

3 - SU Baked Brown Sugar
2 - SU Creamy Caramel

CCEE 1810 - Die Cut Words

Hi, and welcome to the second challenge for March.  Vicky, our CCEE Challenge hostess for this month, has us playing around with techniques using Die Cut Words.

I cut my birthday wishes die by Spellbinders twice and used the black sentiment behind the blue one as a shadow. The designer paper is from Ahoy There by Alisha Gordon and Kasie Fry for Carta Bella. I think this will made a great masculine birthday design for one of my nautical friends.

Lots of interesting techniques used by the CCEE Design Team member for their word cut dies.

Will Spring Return to Texas? - KSS

Will spring return to Texas? I sure hope so! I can feel it in the air.

For today's card sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps, I have given you a glimpse of what a Texas spring looks like. Soon the hillsides and roadways will be lined with beautiful Texas wildflowers which include the gorgeous state flower, the bluebonnet.

I stamped the truck and tree on two different panels and cut one down to use as a popped up spotlight over the other.

For this card I included images from:

Classic Old Truck Multi Step Clear Stamps
Trees Multi Step Clear Stamps
Bluebonnets Multi Step Clear Stamps
Bicycle Multi Step Clear Stamps (sentiment)
Birch Trees Multi Step Clear Stamps (grass)
Tree Friends Multi Step Clear Stamps (grass)
