Mother's Day Gate Fold Surprise - KSS

For Fun Fold #8 sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps, I have used the classic gate fold to hide a bouquet of beautiful roses inside my Mother's Day card! I hope my mom likes her surprise!

I used images from Kitchen Sink Stamps' Heart & Roses Multi Step Clear Stamps and words from Whole Family Clear Stamps

The designer paper is from PB&J by Basicgray.

KSS - Let's Make a Scene - Hummingbird

The fourth and final Monday of April brings with it a new Let's Make a Scene design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps. Today's card was inspired by the hummingbirds that have returned to my part of Texas in recent weeks. I can sit for hours watching them flit from flower to flower in the backyard!

Images from the following Kitchen Sink Stamps' sets were used to create this scene:

Fun Fold 07 with KSS

Fun Fold #7 sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps is a simple window box frame folded from a 5 x 5 inch piece of designer paper. I marked dots at  2.5 inches on each side and then scored the paper as shown in the first photo.

Here the paper has been scored and folded:

For the first sample, I added a 3.5 white panel inside for stamping. On the last two I stamped directly on the designer paper.

CCEE1715 - Humor

For our second April challenge our hostess, Joanne, informed the CCEE Stampers that April is National Humor Month. She reminds us that there are many occasions when a funny image or sentiment can make the day of someone facing some type of challenge (or an "aged" birthday). So this week she has asked the CCEE Stampers to make cards showcasing humor.

For me and my friends, every birthday is a challenge these days. Here is the card that I have made for a friend celebrating an unnamed birthday this month!

KSS Fun Fold #6 - Open Book Fold

For the today's Fun Fold design sponsored by Kitchen Sink Stamps, I have chosen to make an "open book" fold sympathy card featuring the Multi Step Iris.

My completed card is 4.75 inches by 6.5 inches. The insert was cut from a 6 inch by 10 inch panel of card stock. The red lines are cut and the blue lines are scored.

Cut 1 inch down from the top and one inch up from the bottom from inch 1 to inch 9 on your trimmer. The score lines are at inch 1,2, 8, and 9 from cut to cut. At 5 inches score all the way across the card. At 4 and 6 score from the cut to the outside edge at the top and bottom.

After the pop up is cut and scored, fold and burnish all the folds and place score tape on the three sections shown below to secure to inside of the card. Repeat of the other half of the pop up.

I then attached the stamped images to the front and inside of the card.
